Day Two Adventures

Surprisingly, after yesterday's late night, Alex and Andrey were able to wake up at 7 am to go for a jog. Then we enjoyed a nice breakfast at our hotel and took a tour of Citadel.

Citadel is located on a hill in the center of Halifax. We saw historic reenactments, tried on soldier's uniforms, watched the canon shoot and walked through the old fort. It started to rain, so our visit had to be cut short.

For lunch we enjoyed a fish and chips meal from a food cart/truck in Halifax. We ate our meal while seating on the steps of the Halifax Court of Justice building.

Then we rented our vehicle and drove to the Peggy's Cove. Our car turned out to be quite fancy: leather seats, satellite radio, double sun roof, rear view camera, climate control for front and back seats, and tons of room!

Peggy's Cove was a very small and scenic town where we took photos of a famous lighthouse and dined at a local caffe. It kept raining on and off all day, so our outside activities were limited for the rest of the day, which we didn't mind because our car was super awesome!

Then we embarked on a trip to our next destination - Annapolis Royal, where we spent the night.

On our way there we stopped by Mahoney Bay where we saw the three churches standing on the waterfront. Very beautiful and cozy town. We also had to drive through some really empty and scary back roads of western Nova Scotia.
