Day Three Passage

We arrived to Annapolis Royal really late last night and it was raining, so we were really freaked out when we saw our Victorian style mansion where we were supposed to stay. Hillsdale House Inn was an old guest house that was established in 1859 that also looked like it was directly from the pages of a mystery novel... This luxurious inn was very beautiful and authentic inside out. Complete with old oil paintings, antique furniture and gracious hosts.

After a night of restful sleep, Alex and Andrey woke up early to go for a run! We had our breakfast at the inn and decided to take a walk through the charming small town on Annapolis Royal. This town was very small and cozy, with tons of antique shops and small cafes. We enjoyed Lobster Pizza for lunch at one of the restaurants of the town. It was so delicious.

After all this we carried on with our drive to Digby where we boarded the ferry to Saint John, New Brunswick. The ferry was large and it felt like we were boarding the Titanic. The weather was very warm and the water was calm. We saw a few small whales splashing in the water. The ferry trip was three hours so we were able to catch up on our sleep.

Once we arrived to Saint John we drove to our hotel which also turned out to be a very old and luxurious Victorian house. It had a piano, old wood staircase and antiques...

At the end of the day we enjoyed a night out at a local pub.
